Coming In Touch with the Maker

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been really busy with school, home, friends, church, and clubs I just haven't had time. This past month has been a real rollercoaster for me.
This past weekend, Nevember 16-18 my schools ecology club went on our annual Land Between the Lakes trip. On this trip I began the Saturday morning crying because I didn't want to go, and I have ended this trip crying, because I don't wanna go. This trip was a lot of fun but it reminded me that I have just few short years till it will be my turn to be talking in front of all the underclassmen. It will be my last LBL trip. I will be planning on going to college the next year. I got the title of this from our storm lastnight.
Around 4:30 ish we were told we need to take shelter. So most of the girls went to the boys lower bathroom in the cabins. But while taking shelter we were able to go outside and look at how calm it was how magnificent and how awesome our God really is. The clouds were moving faster than ever and it had never gotten so dark in such a little amount of time. But lastnight we came in touch we saw the beauty that God can bring to us. The power he has.
This morning we were told the storm was right on top of us, that the worst part was expected to hit right where we were. You know thats a awesome thing because all it did was rain and lightning. I truely believe God heard our prayer for safety and he made the storm pass.
This is true in our lives too. We see a storm coming so we take shelter but do we always remember to look for God. Do we always remember to thank God for what we have, or do we just sit and wait for someone to pitty us. Do we ask for what we need and then forget to thank him. I challenge you to be thankful in the hard times be thankful for your hardships.  Say thank you God for bringing this storm in my life thank you for showing up and being powerful.

Have a great week!
